A layout review.
Illustrated.
Fictional example only. The following comments illustrate the review format, not a completed technical assessment.
Scope and fixed fee agreed before work starts. Your enquiry carries no payment commitment.
Example brief
The homeowner has a proposed kitchen layout and wants more storage while keeping a dining table. No scaled plan or verified measurements are used in this illustrative example.
Observation → question → next action
Observation: a proposed tall unit sits beside a door opening. Question: will the fully open door conflict with the cabinet or reduce access? Next action: confirm the door swing and dimensions on the measured plan before approving the position.
Storage and use
List the items to store and the tasks carried out in the kitchen. Check whether everyday items can be reached easily and whether appliance doors remain usable with adjacent units open. These are review questions, not confirmed defects.
Dining and circulation
Test the arrangement with chairs in use, door openings and the normal route through the room. Confirm all relevant dimensions before deciding whether the proposed table position is suitable.
Information still needed
Verified room dimensions, openings, appliance specifications, services positions and details of the supplied design. Without these, clearance, installation and compliance conclusions remain unresolved.
Review outcome
An actual review would attach numbered comments to the supplied drawing and distinguish findings from questions requiring verification. New layout design is a separately agreed service.
